


European Web Quest



Welcome Students!
You are about to begin your journey across the exciting continent of Europe!
There are many wonderful and interesting things to learn about Europe. This WEB QUEST will be an overview. As you "travel" through this unit, maybe you will find a country or city that is particularly interesting to you. If so, think about doing more research for the European Fair!
Let's get started.
1. Get a 25 Interesting Facts sheet from your teacher. REMOTE LEARNERS: Yours is in your Google Classroom. IN PERSON LEARNERS: Get a paper from Miss Long. Use the website: 25 Interesting Facts About Europe That Most People Don’t Know to help you answer the questions. You may watch it as many times as you need to. Once it is filled out, turn it in.
2. Request the That's Not Right worksheet. REMOTE LEARNERS: send an email request to Miss Long. IN PERSON LEARNERS: Request it once you turn in the previous sheet. Use the internet to help you find the European countries. Turn it in when done.
3. Now let's check out the tourist sites. REMOTE LEARNERS: Look in your Google Classroom for a Doc to record your answers. IN PERSON LEARNERS: Get a half sheet of paper from the teacher. ALL: go to this page to see some famous tourist sites in Europe. There are three name choices for each photo. Only one is correct for the the photo. Identify the correct name of each site, then research the city and country it can be found in. There are 16 total. Turn in when done.
4. Moving on to Famous People born in Europe. Open the European Born document in your Google Classroom. Do your research to fill in the blanks to tell the European country each famous person was born in. Continue your research to give a brief summary of what each person did that made them famous today or what they are most known for. Turn in when done.
5. Last one! It's a crossword puzzle. REMOTE LEARNERS: Look in Google Classroom for an electronic copy. IN PERSON LEARNERS: Get a copy from the teacher. Use the internet to help you find the answers. Words must be spelled correctly. Turn it in when done.
