DISCIPLINE

  • If a cheerleader has a concern or issue, they are asked to privately deal with that concern by requesting a meeting, first with their immediate coach, second with the head coach, and third with an administrator.  At no time will concerns be addressed via text or through social media sites.

 

  • Discipline issues will be on a case by case basis and is only a concern of the cheerleader, their parents, and the coaches.

 

  • Excused absences are defined as absences due to personal illness, death or serious illness in the family.  Excused or unexcused status for absences will be determined by the coach(es).

 

PRACTICE

 

  • Missing more than 30 minutes of practice due to non-illness or non-school related appointments will be considered an absence from practice.  If practice must be missed due to the above reasons, 24-hour prior notice to the coach is mandatory.  Notice must be given by a parent/guardian.  Failure to have parent/guardian notification within the alloted time frame will automatically make the absence unexcused. 

 

  • Penalty points will be given during practices for non-compliance of policy and procedures.  Penalty points will be cumulative for the entire season.

 

GAMES

 

  • Only ONE non-illness/injury absence will be allowed each season.

 

  • Missing a game FOR ANY REASON, including illness, will result in a one game suspension.

 

  • Penalty points will be given during games for non-compliance of policy and procedures.  Penalty points will be cumulative for the entire season.

 

VIOLATIONS

 

  • Violation of any of the rules or guidelines contained in this handbook will result in a penalty being assigned.  Penalties may range from running laps to suspension from games.

 

  • An accumulation of 15 penalty points will result in half game suspension.  Each total accumulation of 30 penalty points will result in one full game suspension.

 

  • Each full game suspension will count towards those needed for dismissal.
